Romeos Pistol – where the hell did they come from? This fresh faced dynamic three piece represent the next generation of live entertainment. At a glance they’re three lads with a mighty sound who conquered 2016 in style. Underneath their leather jackets, tight shirts and skinny jeans there’s a raw passion for guitar based music and a healthy interest in big sound.
A set list boasting the likes of up-to-date indie rock without missing out the golden oldies, the band have engineered a unique sound beginning with neat arrangements of the likes of Arctic monkeys, Kings of Leon and Oasis, coupled with beefed up rock twists of 80s classics such as ‘don’t you want me baby’, ‘superstition’ and many more.
Tom Backhouse (24) fronts the band on the impressive lead guitar and is also principle chanter with his raunchy vocals. David Lloyd (25) provides the guts with thumping bass lines throughout and Daniel K (33) gives the drums a relentless battering which altogether constitutes an energetic performance full of twists and turns.
The band will take you on a nightlong tour where you can jive to music from the 60s, rock to 70s punk, dance to 80s pop before singing your heart out to all the modern classics. Just to give a flavour in no particular order, Romeo’s Pistol delve into some of the most loved tunes from the Stereophonics, Black Keys, Beatles, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2, Oasis and many more. So, put your beer back in the fridge and get down to the local boozer for a night you may regret tomorrow but – ‘at least not today’
