Client Testimonials

The point is pivotal in the role it plays in promoting and unifying people through its diverse offering. From children’s shows, concerts, to Asian cultural shows and events there simply is not another venue in the City that offers the versatility of product and service the way you do. Kam Chera, TFI Events

Having organised and ran festivals in the Sunderland area for the last 10 years I know how hard it is to find a venue that is capable and professional enough to host large scale events whilst at the same time remaining affordable.

CAMRA have been involved with The Point, which has hosted our Annual Beer Festival for several years now, and I cannot praise you and your staff highly enough for creating a welcoming and accommodating environment capable of hosting a diverse range of events.
The Point is I believe a unique venue like no other. Stephen Drummond, Sunderland & South Tyneside CAMRA

The Point has been providing our company events and services for just over 4 years. Due to the size of our workforce, we are one of the largest employers situated just outside the City centre of Sunderland with employees who live across the Tyne & Wear, we find it very difficult to source an accessible venue by public transport that can hold over 400 people in the City centre and to cater for our needs.

The professionalism, attention for detail and sublime service The Point has given to us since day one is something that will be hard to replicate elsewhere. Karen Collins, Events Manager

We searched the North East region for venues that could cater to our unique vision for an awards night with a difference. From the outset The Point immediately understood what it was we were asking for and delivered beyond all expectations. The team is second to none and our clients were astounded with the attention to detail and the way in which the whole evening was delivered.

The event itself could not have been successful at any other venue. The investment made into the visual and audio service delivery at The Point set the stage for the event. It was paramount that we delivered an event that activated all 5 senses of the body and created the immersive atmosphere we desired. We wanted to create an experience, not just an evening meal and dancing with a trophy at the end. Without the sound and visual effects this could not have been delivered.

From the arrival at the venue and to leaving, we wanted our guests to feel like they had entered an alternative reality. From the dressing of the venue, the entertainment and even the food and drink, all had to cater to the experience. Andrew and his team at The Point did not fail us. His connections in the arts and props world created the theatrical productions we wanted for each event. Beverley Brown, Events Director

We came to visit the Management team and facility on invitation to the Point by their Directors. We were taken back by the sheer beauty, investment and opportunity that this venue has and in a City that currently did not offer what we provide. It was meant to be and we have not looked back since. Simon Gasston, Together Parties, Director/Event Promoter

TFT has spent 5 years building this fabulous show with The Point. Together, both TFT and the venue owners have invested into technologies like HD cameras and screens to view the competition, warm up mats and changing facilities, branding, lighting and additional touches that make the show top flight and one of the nest in the country, attracting clubs to compete from all around Europe. Paul Grieves 6th DAN, Chief Instructor Spartan Fighting Arts Academy

Andrew Golding and his team could not have been more helpful in the demanding planning, preparation, and delivery of the concert. The large open space for foyer, auditorium and additional staging, lighting, digital audio and visual facilities, and the technical expertise of the production and FOH teams at the Point were invaluable. Matthew Burge, Development Manager, Sunderland Symphony Orchestra
